Hallo guys
i have checked pretty much fotos with M60 or M2 mounts on M151 and no one was similar to the one of mine - i have bought it as a rusty piece of metal in Holland and have been told it was on M151 with M60 - but after googling i am not sure about it. As well as there is problem to get even disabled M60 in central europe

if anyone knows which type of mount is it or if its really for M60 please let me know
thanks
david

I like the brass and link catcher. Take and measure the ammo can tray and see what ammo can will fit in it and also measure the brass catcher open to see what spent caseing will fit.
Looks like a M60 / 50 CAL mount for a helicopter, cargo plane or a small patrol water craft because of the brass catcher to keep spent shells and belt links from filling up / flying around the air craft or patrol boat.
There also might be a tube or a trap door in front of the mount of the brass / link beldge for a control emptying.
Thanks Joe

moose - i have checked - no numbers anywhere
iten - the box fits almost perfectly for 7,62 mm ammo small box for e.g. M60
the doors for shels output are visible on the picture - there are closed.
thank You all for helping and i shall try to take some better and more complete pics

It being painted gray looks like it was for a gun patrol boat (Navy/Coast Guard)
Now sence no numbers or identifing marks could be a in country modification with variouse parts from other mounts to produce this mount.

If the ammo box fits 7.62 then I'd say a m240 or simular. Looks like a naval mount.

Since you bought the mount from Holland, and since the *I think* that the Dutch use the M60, that the mount is actually of Dutch origin...

Try an M240 7.62 Machinegun mount.
Forget about M60, (only has front pin)
The M240 series has front and rear pins, and would fitright in there.
FN manufacture, look up google images and maybe Dutch Army, etc.

The clips on the pedistal looks like a storage area for a spare barrel.

so finally i have identified it for sure as gun mount for M240 - FN Mag 7,62 machine gun - it should fit with Minimi as well as but as we tried to mount an airsoft version of Minimi - the spin of holes differed by approx. 11 mm - this was probably inaccuracy of airsoft gun manufacturer. Main question for audience are:
WERE THERE ANY MUTTS A2 EQUIPPED WITH M240???
DO I HAVE A CHANCE TO BUY M240 IN EUROPE (off course disabled for shooting)???
thank you
