M38A1 Turn signal wiring
I have just completed an M38A1 resto in Greece. I know need to install turn signals to make it street legal. I have a flasher unit, indicator stalk and harness, but I am looking for a wiring diagram to help me with the installation. Does anyone know where I can get one? Thank you for your assistance and best regards. Manos

I have no idea. I base my scientific guess on the shows here in the state where the M38 is clearly in the majority. Maybe they're afraid to come out. I keep my 45 under lock and key. At the nationals last June in Duluth they were about even up. Just out of curiosity how many MB's and M38's are there in California?

number of registered Jeeps in WI & CA
Interesting numbers. That makes 267 WW2 Jeeps & 32 M38's in CA- since there were about 10 times the number of WW2 Jeeps produced as M38's, that gets pretty close to the same ratio of manufacture as are registered Jeeps in CA that are currently listed by MVPA. Considering that the majority of WW2 Jeeps were destroyed in the war, or just left overseas after the war.... but then again a whole lot of M38's seem to have wound up in the South, so..?
In WI, the ratio of registered WW2 Jeeps to M38's is closer to 3:1, rather than 10:1. Anything to do with better weather protection for M38 occupants, or some other reason?
In CA, the vast majority of military Jeeps are either in the Bay area, or north of there (near Oroville, lots of military vehicle collectors there!) or else in SoCal. Not many in the Central Coast area, particularly Monterey. Lots of vintage warbirds, tho (P-51's, Seafuries, Corsairs, and so on)- especially in Salinas & Hollister. Those guys could form their own air force, and it would be a bigger one than some countries have, I'm sure. And probably better looking and better maintained, as well!

Thanks Pete,
If I go with turn signals I think I will use a fixture the same as the one on the left side. That way I will at least have two service stop lights to show up better than the single one. There just won't be a black out stop light. Won't be original, but maybe a little more safety wise. I still have to collect some more parts.
