I'm inclined to agree. If there isn't too much in it, a work-around might be to open the PDF on your machine and copy and past the contents into a regular post or reply. But I haven't tried it.

Bill, I'm trying to pm you through g503 and email. emails bounce back and my outbox says I have messages in it and the sent box is not showing the message was actually sent... Did you receive my message concerning my inability to edit my post? I posted 5 days ago, but can not edit it.

It is supposed to be 7 days. I'll have Ken, our programmer guy, look into this.

Your email went through and I replied to it and messages remain in the outbox until the recipient opens them. Only then are the marked as sent.

Your for sale post will not be deleted. This is one of the reasons the edit feature was removed to begin with. You delete a post and all who replied just lost their posts and the information contained is lost and leaves no reference for anyone looking to sell or get an idea of the worth of an item.

Bill

Understand the policy

On 1 Apr 24 I posted an ad to sell 48 CJ2A on CJs For Sale Forum.

I would like to delete this ad, or be enabled to edit it.

As it did not sell for the asking price and interest was minimal, I want to rewrite the description and lower the price significantly.

Please advise how I may do so.

Best, W H Harris

Hi,

I'm not Bill, but I would say just make a new post.

We don't really delete old sale posts, whether they sell or not.

I hope this helps,
Old GPW.

Can’t delete my own attachments.
There is a tab to do so, but it does not work.

Why is that?…….

The edit feature is only good for a short time.

Sorry to ask on this thread, but I am struggling to get to the edit/delete option for a post I just submitted under GPW/MB knowledge about starting problems when my MB engine is hot. I accidently submitted the post twice and just wanted to take one down. Could you help, please?

Thank you,

Hi,
If you want to immediately delete the doubled post, you will receive a « not allowed » message.
Wait a few minutes, i do not know how many , and you will be free to delete it.
