felt padding for WWII radios

Post by Tapper02 » Thu Jul 11, 2013 11:43 am

Does anyone have some extra felt they're willing to part with? I only need four 1/4" thick x 1" diameter discs for a crystal case.

I saw an old post that mentioned Sutherland, MSC Industrial and McMaster-Carr as sources for felt padding. Unfortunately, they all sell in minimum strips of either 5', 10' or 25'. I don't need that much. Thanks.

Have you tried the old fashion under felt for carpets. The stuff we use in the UK is very similar.

You know... I may have a long strip that is 1" or so wide... I will check and see.

Found it...

Mark,
I got the felt in the mail yesterday...thanks a bunch. I'm going to try to get to it this weekend. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Thanks again, Tom
