Interesting numbers!

Post by lanceng156 » Wed Feb 10, 2010 8:47 am

Hello all!

Just been working the Jeep today as you do, as I was stripping away the layers of paint above the right hand rear wheel arch I found some red and blue numbers/markings.

They seem around 2 1/2 inches high in neatly done red paint first digit is a 3 I think, the first digit is the only one with signs of sky blue paint as well. This marking goes on for about 10 - 15 inches long the top of the arch.

It was between the three colour NATO camo layer of paint and the original factory green, my question is has anyone come across this style of marking before?

Thanks in advance,
Danny

Danny,

I don't visit G503 very often and its good to find another Hotchkiss owner in the fairly near locality
I'm restoring mine as 1960's French radio vehicle so I'm always on the lookout for parts.

I can be contacted - Barrie@griff98.fsnet.co.uk
