Re: 41 PLYMOUTH PICS
Stellar! I think the thing I like the most is the damage on the rear because it gives it such character. It gives it that "worn in" look that these mv's are meant to have. By the way, was this one actually a staff car or did you just make it one? Im a little new to the staff car area...

i was able to replace the interior door panels.....i used wall board material......so this way..when i decide on a color and material for the interior..ill be good to go....
the originals were to far gone to be used again...

Well Mario, you get her fixed up and I am sure someone would pay you well for your work. Shoot, even I would consider it. Always wanted a staff car to go with the jeep I own.

Mario,
Your car's looking great. I'm especially impressed with the stars. As I recall, you did those yourself. Incase you need any trim, some pieces are available on e-bay.

I love the "Bail Out" / "Suicide" doors and the flat head 6 cylinder engine.

Re: 41 PLYMOUTH PICS
Mario,
I meant to ask you about the white bumper wings. Is there anything historic about that color or did you paint them white just because you liked the look? My car has the wings too and I like the look.

Re: 41 PLYMOUTH PICS
You and I have model P12s, the Special Delux. I suspect that more common were the P11s, the Delux model. Ours have more chrome trim and perhaps the bumper wings...or maybe they were simply an option.
I am doing mine as a Air Corp model. Correct or not, I will be using white stars with the red circle inside like used on WWII aircraft. I would love to have a flight line type of amber light on the top...if I could find the right one. I do have the front blackout marker lights but would like a siren/red light also. My idea is to have it be like a squadron commander might have to drive on the flight line.
I already have a portable WWII signal light that was used to signal aircraft to wave-off or if it is safe to land. It will be a prop for the car at shows, etc. A friend is giving me a WWII aircraft clock for the car and I'm watching for a suitable altimeter. As you know, with the field elevation, you can tell the pressure setting to relay.
The white wings are a good idea, if you don't mind, I'll do that with my car, too.
