Rear Seat Cushion Position.

Post by HK G36 » Sun Jul 09, 2006 7:35 am

Can anybody please post or send me a picture of the exact position of the fixings, through the lower seat cushion long fixing tab and the rear seat back cushion bottom tabs.
Thanks!

HK

A photo of the 'cushion' holes would still be good, if anybody has got one!

Just a matter of knowing where to look.....

Try this....it's a GPW seat, but similar locations for an MB.

Thanks Jon, but its really a picture of the cushion I am interested in just to be able to see how both the base and rear rest sit on the frame. The tabs on the back rest are quite long and I want to know where to put the holes. Does it sit away from the frame or tight against it? Is the bottom locating flap visible when the cushion is seated? All the original holes are in the frame work so no problem there.

Jon,

thanks its the best so far, I am sure I can work it out but didn't want to make holes in my new canvas in the wrong place.
I have noticed that the securing tap for the back rest is longer on the drivers side and has an additional hole, any reason for this?

Hi Dave,

yes that is the one, for the backrest!
Also just getting the bottom seat cushion to sit properly is my other concern; it must be that having secured it in place, the tab must be visible at the front when the seat cushion is down.

Lloyd, Look again at the pic from my Home Page....

Lay your's out like that and you'll see where you're going wrong.

I have an NOS rear seat back cushion up in my shed, I'll check the tabs on that and get back to you....

Jon,

having checked the cushion, it can only sit one way, guess I knew that really. I will affix it tomorrow with your picture as a guide. Look forward to the pic of the rear seat back.

Dave,

Did you find out how to attach this tab on the rear seat cushion?
