(originally posted on the 2-1/2 ton and up page) Just an FYI to everyone, someone WHO IS NOT BRYAN tried to scam me on these mufflers this evening, and I nearly sent him $450 for 2 mufflers plus shipping. His email address is jrockjc45@gmail.com. Also Dealswithsydcarter@icloud.com. When I started questioning him he sent me a photo purporting to be himself with his Indiana drivers license, name Daniel J Anderson of Warsaw, Indiana. If the police are interested in these online scams I will be reporting him.

Bill, he did not give me a user name. I thought the "jrockjc45" looked like Bryan's email, then later realized it was different. He wanted me to pay using zelle, apple pay, or chime, none of which I use. Then he gave me his wife's address for paypal, @Chrisherfkens. Fortunately for me, I couldn't get the paypal transaction to work. I came within a gnat's axx of losing my money.

I do not know why anybody will use email when the pm feature is right there. you do not know who you are dealing with through the e mail. only thing now is that you can see it came from g503 internal system. just ask the guy to pm you through the pm button and you will see all about them. on the other hand if you use pay pal for merchandise you have some insurance.

Scammer warning:

Forum member "zhet" sent me this message in response to a WTB ad I have listed:

Another solid lead is Tim . He’s been selling these parts for a while and
really knows his stuff. You can reach him at sixatseaworks@ outlook.com.
The last time I came across his post, the M28 Instrument Light is still
available

So, already skeptical, I emailed. The Tim at this email sent me photos of the item I wanted, which I couldn't find online using a reverse image search. He asked for a reasonable amount of money to be mailed via check. I asked for a quick phone call to confirm everything. I got the following response:

Well
I’m at a family burial till next week and ain’t going to call cos of 70 bucks so pls if you got another seller
Buy from him
I prefer to sell my stuffs locally to avoid all these scam drama .

So I would say watch out for this forum member and the person at that email address. Maybe its a real person and I struck a nerve, but it seems odd they can send me multiple emails with photos but a quick call is a line in the sand.

The email does not show as a member here and the member zhet has been banned.
