M-38 data plates

I'm looking to see if anyone has any information on two M-38's, serial numbers in question are 68137 date of delivery 5/52 with hood number 20943213 and MC 52223,no date of delivery or hood number with this one.

The 5/52 serial number AND that hood number, are roughly the same difference with my 11/51 serial number and hood number, which would make sense if there was roughly 25,000 made between 11-52 and 5/52, or close to that. John

I own serial number 34523 with an acceptance date of 9-51.

Ok, I see now; likely the answer is no, and since you have the plates, there is no other way to tell other than the wheel well tag, which is usually missing too. M38 serial numbers are not stamped on any steel parts. You know that.

Thanks for the information,I know there is no other way to find serial numbers.
I have looked into the M-38 data base on known vehicles and did not see them listed.
I wanted to do just diligence and see if these vehicles are still out there with reproduction plates as I would gladly turn over these orginal plates to the owners, it's my conclusion that these vehicles are no longer in existence, these plates also have titles with them and I will decide what to do with them soon.

Body tag matched my title (was titled in New York) now titled out of Oregon, but I’m stationed in VIrginia.
