FUEL IN THE FUTURE

Post by JMZ421 » Mon Nov 23, 2020 1:08 pm

Sort of a technical question, comment. I would assume as long as airplanes need fuel there will be fuel available for all the classic vehicles out there. It appears all the automakers are onboard with 100% electric vehicles. One could say that's a while away, but the last 15 years flew by!! Too many other things to be concerned about, way more important things, but I hope our vehicles are not destined to be a museum piece. John

Fuel will get so expensive as a disincentive to use it. So if you want to drive these its looks like its a CNG swap or convert to electric. I wouldn't be surprise with 15 dollar a gallon gas within ten years.

In 2035 all vehicles that have internal combustion engines will be banned by the socialists; drive them now while you still can.
Yes they will become static displays only.
No one thought coal would be banned 20 years ago either.

Oakland, California is tying to stop the railroad from delivering coal from Utah to a company that loads it on ships and sends it over seas...

Technical question, really? Everything is destined to be a museum piece sooner or later. When all the above happens (and more), getting fuel of any kind at any price will be the least of your problems........ Personally, I'm a lot more concerned with preserving the 1776 version of liberty that we inheirited than I am with the loss of gasoline.

IMHO, this is one of them threads the Moderators should squash right away because it's ripe for political opinion mayhem that causes hurt feelings. We all know where those threads lead....and none of us want hurt feelings do we?

Nip it in the bud now! :o

Get used to it. You can only use your toaster when the wind is blowing or the sun is shining.

Ok, I'm off. Don't want to get pegged as a radical.

Maybe when you run out of diesel and can't buy it for any price you can rig it to burn chicken fat?

Dang! Did I say that out loud? I meant to sign off......

Neighbor asked the other day what I will do once all electric; with my M38. Usually, the question is how do you find parts for that. Why would anyone want to own any gas vehicle if this is coming? I'd rather bring the topic up. There used to be a legislative section, I thought, maybe I missed it. Yes, as I mentioned, there are way more important things. Not going to lose sleep over it. John

The Army used to use horses that burned hay and that lasted until Jeeps were issued.. I predict we will come full circle.

Yes this has turned political and the moderators can do as they like.
So, too, my greatest fear is when the Socialists take over, as they are trying to do now, gasoline powered cars are evil, and the USA as we knew it, is doomed.....
As for coal, if you don't think it is rapidly on the way out, drive through some coal producing areas. WV, Eastern KY, Southern PA.
