DUKW Trailer in Guam

Post by jeffl » Fri May 22, 2020 8:09 am

Well sort of, you might have to dig for it. Hagerty wrote a nice story on the DUKW for Memorial Day. One of the pictures looks like they are filling in an area and using a DUKW and it's trailer for filler. What are the other items?

Notice the bottom of the dead DUKW back by the rudder you see the Modification Work Order for the protective angle Iron for the prop.
With the logistic distance you have to ponder letting wheels and all the parts just get buried while back home they were rationing steel and rubber products.
All a factor of time, they were pressing forward not looking back.

PS: WRT other material, residue of three LST's from what I see, one backward by the DUKW, one sideways, one forward.
