thanks hambone, I just went ahead and ordered from rapco at a good price for NOS. Looks good when I installed my new top after repairing the support frame. I know you may be seeing double marker lights, I loop the turn signal with a y adapter for night driving and looped the fender markers to headlamps for clearance markers. This is only when I drive it daily and when I go to shows I install the correct BO lens.

I purchased a bikini top from a guy in Germany but have not received it, I'm still waiting its been three months and I hope it shows up. I'm being told the COVID-19 effected the shipping from overseas but I purchased a few other items from other folks and have already received them. Am I'm embarrassed to realize I may have been ripped off!!!

Got bored and went for a drive now the roads are empty so after test drive I notice a slight stall problem during the drive. I went through everything it could possibly be, turns out it was a air leak in the fuel line to my aftermarket fuel filter so I removed it and went all orgainl. Runs like a champ, Rick mentioned to make sure the elbow to carburetors is sealed this sometimes becomes a problem, so thanks Rick.

Sounds more like the filter was clogged. Since you have an A1 with the pump in the tank that fuel line is pressurized so if there was any kind of leak it would have been dripping gas. If you still have that filter try blowing through it in the same direction the gas flows and I will bet it is clogged. I always run an aftermarket filter on mine for just that reason. I have seen far too many carbs with crap in them that got through the little stock filter.

I resolved the leak with removing the bottle filter (tracker filter) I installed a while back but apparently started a leak after my rebuild so I removed it and put it back to original in line filter you see in the picture. Runs great now.

another update a while back I purchased a summer top aka "bikini top" but with shipping being so delayed with the COVID-19 its been over 75 days for delivery and load and behold it arrived today. Turned out nice just installed it. I especially liked how the back is removed to allow air flow, if you every lived in Texas you know what I mean: 9 months of summer (90-110 degrees) 1 month of fall (50-70 degrees)1 month of spring (70-85 degrees) 1 month of winter (30-45 degrees) so summer heat is the primary temperature.

Nice, Where did you get the bikini top from?

On edit, I went back a ways and I see you got it from Germany? I am guessing that was a bit pricey?

thanks Rick, I do like it much better than the issued version. It is actually cheaper than I bought the issued one.

Issued version / slip window: $500 with shipping.

Bikini top: $324.00 plus $45 for shipping x conversion ( 1 eur = $1.09.00) $401.29. Vendor on ebay: militaryonline or www.militaryonline.de

It did take a few months but well worth it.

The Bikini top I had was used with the ROPS.But I like the one you have.I also would use the regular vinyl top with the back detached, pulled up so the straps went to/fastened to front bow

That's what I always did, just use the bottom straps to wrap the top up and over the mid(front) bow and it was an instant Bikini top.
You'd get wet either way, so yours doesn't flop as much, nice top.

Ok, I wanted to check my timing because now driving my mutt all last two weeks since working from home. Yes it was sitting for a bit and I ran the fuel out to replace with new fresh fuel. I'm getting a small oscillating idle sort a of that you know when at the idle is a bit off from its sound and that feeling on the steering wheel. I cant see my timing mark on the crank pulley. How would i check it?
