Is this original?
Spotted this at an antique mall. How can I tell if its original? Marked as such but we all know how that goes haha! What's a good price? Asking 10 on it

Is there an easy way to tell? There are other ww2 ones, one for the army air corps with a B-25 for $5

Re: Is this original?
was it removed from a magazine, or done as a poster? Magazine ad would have something else on the reverse, while a poster would likely be marked in the corner with repop date or manufacturers label.
With a magnifying glass, fine dot print uniformity would show up and I doubt it was in use for large prints then.

Thank you, it looks like it's from a magazine as it is about that size. I'll go back and take a look. If it doesn't have the dots it should be considered a fake?

I went back to the booth and it has something printer on the reverse and the dotted color print. I bought them both and found out they had 15% off as well. Will post photos later of both

Here are the to I got. The jeep one has a small blemish on the top right corner. Other than that they in in great shape. The jeep one has a lucky strike ad on the reverse and the AAF one has an ad encouraging people to save their cans

Re: Is this original?
Good find. These type of ads were popular in Magazines during WWII. I've picked up several in antique stores too. They are definitely a neat part of that time period we're all interested in.
