Body color for M18 Smoke

Post by 11ACRLT » Tue Jul 09, 2019 3:21 pm

Any one have a shade code or color spec for the bodies of M18 Smoke grenades?
I have some in need of touch up for display.
Thanks,

How bad are they? They don’t stay perfect in use and I suspect the future purveyors would rather have them original then “restored”. Worth more too.

They vary from small spots of missing paint, which I can live with, to about 1/3 to 1/2 paint loss and dis colorization from heat,( these are spent grenades).
I want to try to restore the worst ones and get some stencils made for the lettering.
Thanks.

Gotcha. Ordnance board down page would probably be a better spot. Might catch the attention of Jason who can help but I forgot his screen name.

Thank You Mr. Sparks, I'll keep researching, might have to go to a local paint supply and get the color scanned.
