Hi; My NATO rebuilt CCKW started life as a 353 long wheel base and came out of rebuild as a 352 short wheelbase truck. The NATO shop left the long WB style battery box on the frame, so it was a confusing build, but everything worked. The serial no. was still a 353 and the frame was never drilled for the short WB battery box. I even bought all the NOS parts for the 'correct' box, but never used it. Could be sold, as a complete NOS 352 box assembly. Newc

Thanks for the cover source! The fabricated one I have looks like the original except it was made for the long side of the battery to be perpendicular to the truck frame instead of parallel. I'm tired of not having the correct parts and decided restoring my Mess Truck will be my retirement project.Image

All, I'm still looking for a battery box and cover for my CCKW. I saw one on eBay from the Netherlands, but surely there are some here in the US.
Thanks!
