Are we saying the screws should be 10-24 - UNC 2-1/2 - that makes the JMP ones roughly 1" short?

Chuck appears confused about the clamps in the factory photos and is estimating the length of the screws.
I have a NOS OEM 635097 Clamp with screw here in front of me.
Can you say #10-24 x 1-1/2"?
The JMP are 1/2" too short. I used the NOS WO 635097 Clamp that I unwrapped in order to double check the 635097 dimensions when you first posted your request.

Thanks I'm having real trouble finding screws in UNF/C in small amounts - I appreciate your help!

I'm not confused at all....there are the wire clamps (2) that hold the flexi tube between the air cleaner and the crossover tube. Then there is the clamp that holds the air cleaner tube and the air horn on top of the carb (1).

As you can see in the factory photo I posted, it appears that the two wire clamps have a screw length that sticks down quite a bit. I haven't posted anything on the LENGTH of any of the fittings, I'm just trying to ascertain when you post the measurements...WHICH of the two styles of clamps you are referring to.

So again...when you post the part number and dimensions....WHICH of the clamps are those screws for????

Look again, I posted the Willys Part No for the Air Cleaner Hose Clamps, 635097, and the lengths of the screw in the two original Air Cleaner Hose Screws plus the screw in the NOS 635097 Clamp I unwrapped just to make sure.
The only part we are realy checking is the length of the screw in the two JMP 635097 Air Cleaner Hose Clamp that Spencer54 bought. The JMP Clamps pictured have screws that are 1/2" too short, they need to be 1-1/2".
Borrow a SNL or two or three and check my work.

Those are not the 635097 2 9/32" Diameter Clamps in question for the For the flexible Air Cleaner Hose.
The Correct Clamps are shown in the ORD 9 .

You can't see the images on here as I have no way to post them, but on the Facebook page I put them up.

The crossover tube fitted to my jeep has a diameter of 2.140"
Airfilter outlet has 2.115
JMP clips are 2.263 diameter at the absolute widest edge of thread
Concertina hose is 0.092" thick
Screw is 1.340 total thread length.

Whatever is out of spec on this combo means the clips won't fit for me.

In that original photo the screws look to have 3/4"+ spare?

I'm going slightly mental trying to find these screws in the UK, you'd think it was easy - but I'm going to give up and buy some new ones.

The Factory Spec for that A-1311 Flexible Air Cleaner Hose is 2-1/8" I.D. Read your Parts Manual, the 635097 Clamps are listed as 2-9/32" I.D.

Ben I understand the 2 3/8 clamps are not the wire type for air filter to crossover tube.
I was thinking more of the crossover tube to air horn with the later style rubber connector that is thinner than the earlier hose type connector that required a 2 1/2 clamp.
Also I think the original members wire clamp is the wrong size, to small.
He can Mickey Mouse it by re bending with longer screw but it won’t be correct.

The Flexible Air Cleaner Hose made for MB/GPW and M-38 is 2-1/8" ID That's a given, the crossover tube is 2.115" OD. The correct clamps will fit over the flexible hose and will have 1-1/2" screws. I have NOS OEM hose and Clamps from Genuine 40.s-50's Willys stock right here in front of me. I have een selling these OEM parts for the better part of 7 decades.

Not the best pic in the world, but the 635097 Clamp and the A-1355 Hose are Genuine Willys stock for the G503 JEEP.
Note the preservative on the NOS OEM Clamp Screw.

The replacement 2-1/8" ID hose comes in 10' lengths from at least 3 manufacturers, the corrugations on some brands are more prominent than on others,
The hose I have is what was more common to MB/CJ-2A.
