I assume you wish to portray it in its NW Europe role and not in its African Campaign era....if so, the Division might best be known for its time with Patton's' Third Army. Therefore I would suggest:

3A Third Army
39-I 39th Infantry Regiment
C-9 (I picked C company, ninth vehicle but you can "assign" it to any company and pick what vehicle number you wish)

Thanks for the info. Progress is speeding up. Brakes were mint. Tub goes to be blasted next week. Could not find any unit markings. I think when it was painted black, she was blasted clean. No signs of OD on the tub. I was able to replace leaf #1 where the bushing eye had broken off. Turned out nice.

Chuck,
Any new info? I am close to doing markings. She does have 10 leaf springs. And lights are bolted on.
Thanks much,
Lew

Hi Lew...

No new info so I think you can go with the estimates I gave you previously...

I think you already know the part about saving those brake drums for your next jeep brake job, right? The ones on the trailers were only used to keep them from rolling away so unless some PO has beat you to the punch and swapped them for some worn out ones that can't be turned for use on the jeep, you should consider trying to find a set and saving those close to MINT ones that are usually found on a G-529!
