Use your description early door mb strap on ebay now shows a navy Jeep one, below it is joes motor pool for 18.00 it has optio to buy up to ten!

Here is an early slat pic of the safety strap taken in March 1942:
The adjuster/buckle looks to be in the white by the way, but the "anchor" style clip and the distinctive belt loop construction is easy to see.

There are 2 original on eBay and reproduction by same seller.

Cast buckles do show up on eBay but don’t see any at this time.
There are 2 types of cast buckles both for 1 1/2 strap, one is longer than the other. I’ll try to post pictures.

Here ya go...1942 GPW:....note that the adjuster is STAMPED, like the gas can carrier strap adjuster is....this may be a Ford/Willys thing and perhaps Farrell can comment on the GREEN thread being what Ford used or if Willys used the same color thread!

Thanks Chuck for posting the pics. Yes, the adjuster is stamped unlike on Slat Willys...? Slats uses cast ones, right?
