We know it is a very early CJ2A block since it still has the raised pad for the MB serial number, but still after the first about 40K of them because it has gear drive.. And the CJ numbers on the front pad are stamped very lightly so when it gets rusted even a little bit, they disappear. And it is a 641087 part number released in late 45; lets say early 46? Ish. Maybe.

Whats the CC casting letters for, thought that meant timing chain engine from factory.
I have never looked on a civilian block for machining date, this one would be easy to check if the dates are still cast on the pan rail.
