Re: THE M-2 CLETRAC
We made the air hose and bottles for ours. I was lucky enough to find a parts cleatrac with the generator, engine covers and battery box for ours. The rest wandering Willy’s got sorry Matt. There was a parts one in Pennsylvania sitting in a junkyard that was complete I tried buying it several times but they wouldn’t sell it to me

Re: THE M-2 CLETRAC
It is what it is - good spares on the rest of the rig that I wouldn't have otherwise - those to the party first get the pick of the treats
No hard feelings on that what so ever!
The stuff is out there it just hides well - connecting the parts machines tucked away in fields and sheds with the guys who want to restore the stuff is the challenge
Matt

What parts are you looking for? Is anyone making batterybox covers?

Hello tractor12
I might know where there is a Cletrac winch for sale, I don’t know how complete it is I think it’s all there, let me know and I can see if it’s still available

Re: THE M-2 CLETRAC
I've been looking for a project machine for years. Seems like I've always been in the wrong place at the wrong time. Don't want to hijack the thread but if anybody know of any projects for sale, I would certainly be interested.

Re: THE M-2 CLETRAC
I have a M2 Cletrac HST for sale in the Ohio area.
Its a basic running chassis with new tracks that I built for it that are the 1/2 track style. We married an original rear end transmission housing with a bogey frame system. Added in some mounting channels for a modern Detroit diesel turbo charged engine from an old yard dog semi truck we had. Then adapted a yoke system to marry the original transmission with new one. Moves pretty good. Drove it in the fields for awhile and a few local parades. Yoke snapped coming back from a parade and it has been parked ever since. Engine still runs.
Prefer to sell the whole unit or will consider removing the engine and selling the frame system and tracks together. Also have a few spare bogey frame system parts.
Contact me if interested. I can send pictures.

Re: THE M-2 CLETRAC
Are you the Starpoint that was going to manufacture the tracks? If so, where is the project at right now. Have been waiting on Cletrac info since the word first went out, not hearing anything.
Still interested.

Yep I believe the chassis came from Jim in ID and Greg was wondering on reproducing halftrack and Cletrac tracks...

Re: THE M-2 CLETRAC
I am very interested in finding out the progress of the tracks!!!!
My friend finally ended up buying some of Gary's tracks, but I may still need the M-2 tracks.
I have been eagerly been following the information, or trying to find out the information on the tracks.
I am hearing nothing!
So........if anyone has knowledge on the progress of M-2 tracks, prices, availability.....any information at all...please post here.

Re: THE M-2 CLETRAC
Say, .....while sitting here and reading, I had a thought. Yeah, that can be dangerous.
Does anyone have a source for 0.20 over pistons and rings for a M-2 engine? That would help my project a lot. 0.10 might get me by if that is all I can find, but I am pretty sure 0.20 will do the job.
My normal sources have dried up.
I may have some good used and a couple NOS standard pistons and a set of NOS Rings to trade then. I will wait on getting rid of what I have until I source new stuff. I may have to sleeve and go back to standard.
Thanks for any help, ODG
