Scalloped front hubs

Post by ee.nanan » Wed Oct 10, 2018 3:39 am

Hello! Are early and late front hubs are the same pattern? I've seen some hubs have the same pattern as the hub lock. I'm having difficulty in uploading pics.. Thanks

Flanges or Hubs? Scalloped flanges were standard on 41-45 MB/GPW, and scalloped flanges were factory installed on CJ-2A thru early CJ-3A and M-38. After that round flanges were installed.
If you did mean Hubs, and not Flanges, there is still something to be learned.

The scallop flanges are the same pattern as the wheel hub.. The question is are they early or late? Thanks in advance๐Ÿ˜€

There are only twu type drive flanges on the MB, WWii years thru early 50's Willys drive flanges were scalloped, and the later ones from 1950 up were round. The Willys Part Number for both styles was A-868 .

Hello. I'm referring to the hubs. They seem to have the same curve as the one with the flanges. I hope i can post some pics but i seem to have some difficulty posting pics. Thanks again..

Later 50's front CJ Hubs were cast a bit different and did match each scallop on the WWII Drive flange. (If this is what you noticed.

Yes, but the very early hubs are scalloped as well , e. g. MA ones are all scalloped. Like the flanges in front and half axles in rear on MA. Generally, on MA there is all scalloped....๐Ÿ˜Š
