Well, here she is fellows: my latest addition to the fleet, a 1968 Baifield.
Picked it up near the end of August and have done some work to her to get it running. She needs a few little odds and ends (which I think are in the mail from muleman7) to get back up to par, but once I get everything squared away I am for sure going to add electric start (the kit from muleman7 looks to be the option, but I want to pay for the parts coming in the mail first so he knows he can trust me) because that pull start is going to be a killer in the Indiana winter when I need this thing to haul firewood for me.
I have noticed that the shift rails are leaking at the transmission so I'll have to get some new seals for those. Can these be replaced without taking the tranny apart?
Also, the quick release steering pin seems to want to fall out when I'm driving. Is there a good way to secure this? I imagine it's a little worn from years of use so I might have to replace it.

yes, check your TM for proper procedure. Discussed here many times: viewtopic.php?f=148&t=189578&hilit=shift+seal You will need a GM automatic transmission seal removal tool.
Steering lock pin should have lock ball similar to this, John Emery or Charles Witt may have them:

Thanks, Chuck. That link is very helpful and so is the picture of the disconnect. Mine does not look like that at all. Someone must have made an ad hoc pin at some point.

McMaster Carr has a pin that looks similar, look under "Knob-Grip Push-Button Quick-Release Pins"
https://www.mcmaster.com/standard-quick-release-pins
If I remember right, the pin is 1/2", but I don't remember how long it needs to be.

The following link is for a quick release pin that is nearly the original except it is 2" usable length instead of the original 1-1/2"
