Jeep/ Motorcycle coat 100.00
Any input is welcome. I have had this a long time. I believe it is Canadian and do not know if it is a copy of something that is US military. Searching has not been overly fruitful. It is 10 lbs and is 48" tall not including the collar. The pics speak to it. All buttons and snaps match except for the 2 leg straps. There are some mends on jacket typical as found on other military gear. A few little holes and some small paint on a sleeve. I sleeve has wearing at the end where the elastic cuff it. The front pockets are deep but no buttons or snaps. I would say it is a large but 2 tags on jacket and liner are washed out. It would certainly keep you warm. Payment postal or bank money order. I will have to work on shipping as it is bulky. PM me and if you have any information please post it here. Thanks
If the missus say she is cold well this can put a stop to that
The head is cropped on purpose as she said if it is in the picture then my head will be removed.

Any stamps in it? The British had a similar coat in WW2, be it in heavy khaki duck cotton, and the Dutch army had a post-war copy. I'l make a pic of mine.

This one is Dutch made and dated 1953; the dog is a later addition. The sheepskin liner is non-detachable though. A great goat for jeepin' in the winter!

Hi Steve,
I have a coat that's identical to your coat! I purchased it from Mass Army Navy Surplus back in the mid 90's. They advertised it as a "Jeep Coat" that they suggested was a European copy of a late WWII US item. The coat I have has perfect tags on it. It says the manufacturer name and it's Tel # in Amsterdam. It's dated 1953 and you're right it is HEAVY!!

Shoot, I thought I had only one and was going to increase price Would like to get to original origin just for knowledge of it. I can see calling it a jeep coat for sales. I still think it is for motorcycles with the leg straps and the ability to split the tail with the button. Thanks for input.

I think this is what you want. From pit to cuff it is 16 1/2" From top of seam down to cuff it is 27" and across front with it flat and the buttons done up it is 23" and for what it is worth laying flat the sleeve is 7" across. I am 5'9" 175 lbs with pretty long arms and it comes 1/2 way between my wrist and knuckles with arms down or extended out.
