That will be one fine ride when done. The original images of the pulpit in practice are a nice confirmation of your project's validity. I can't wait to see the effort. Mine sits in FL until I am able to retrieve it and begin work. Hopefully sooner rather than later. It will be fun to compare notes, lessons learned and techniques.

Nice to see those early images of the Lot 2 scout cars with the second type rims and the chevron tread tires. Very cool.

Yes, these were the scout cars being used by the US 26th Cavalry Philippine Scouts when the Japanese invaded the Philippines in 1941.

Re: Post Your WW2 Images of US M3A1 Scout Car
It looks like they are all early scout cars. That provides another opportunity for a historically accurate rendition if someone chose that era.

Nice marking on that SC by the early Willys. It is a Fleur de Lis. That symbol was used on the 2nd Cavalry crest. I cannot see anything else that is recognizable

Re: Post Your WW2 Images of US M3A1 Scout Car
You posted another great image with some revealing detail. This one is hiding a swallow tailed guidon which is most likely red over white with the number 13 on it. This is probably a very early image.
Here is a little history on the 13th from the Army Historical Foundation.
Following the American declaration of war against Germany in April 1917, the 13th Cavalry remained in the United States, serving briefly in Kansas and at a number of posts along the Texas-Mexico border. From 1920 to 1935, the regiment served primarily in Kansas, with its headquarters at Fort Riley. On 1 March 1933, the regiment was assigned to the 2d Cavalry Division; it was relieved from the 2d on 18 August 1936. In 1936, the 13th, now under the command of COL Charles I. Scott, became part of the 7th Cavalry Brigade (Mechanized), which served as a pioneer for the Army’s future armored force.
On 15 July 1940, the 13th Cavalry was redesignated the 13th Armored Regiment (Light) and assigned to the newly formed 1st Armored Division at Fort Knox, Kentucky. After taking part in the Arkansas, Louisiana, and Carolina Maneuvers in the summer and fall of 1941, the 13th returned to Fort Knox with the rest of the 1st Armored Division in December 1941. On 7 December, the regiment was redesignated the 13th Armored Regiment.

The picture with the jeep, what kind of tank do they have strapped to the side? Almost looks like a beer keg?

Rob,
Great video. I spent four years there at USMA from 78-82. It does not look like Highland Falls has changed much between 39 and 78. I need to get back there in the next few years for a reunion, probably the 40th. I'll look you up and compare M3A1 notes when I get there.
