When doing some satellite imagery browsing, I founds hundreds of ECVs with big holes in the roofs. It looked like the turret parts had been pulled off.
HEY! That would make a cool aquarium. Seal up all the leaks on an m1165 and fill er up...

Saved and reused in one corner or the world, and destroyed in another!

I agree... that was hard to watch.

You would think they would save those for parts!

Jason, you're so funny! "Seal up all the leaks on an 1165". Even Noah couldn't accomplish that feat!

Indeed shocking to see.... According to the signs in the background, this happened here in Germany. Probably DRMO decided that it was too expensive to ship those vehicles back to the U.S., and instead had them scrapped locally. But, hey, I know enough people overhere who are happy to collect U.S. vehicles, and would gladly buy all that surplus to help with their green vehicle addiction...

There was talk a while ago about Govplanet starting vehicle sales in Europe, but I haven´t heard anything of that since.

I smell BS

Clearly as shown they take military trucks in from Africa as well, therefore they obviously truck them across Germany from Africa, distance depending from where in Africa to Germany around 11,000kms, where as Germany to the U.S is around 14,000Kms, but more sea or air to transport over, maybe that is where it is not cost effective.

They probably weigh up the cost of what the item is worth versus shipping costs, curious what they do with the tanks, do they also shred those or they cannot due to the armour?

Also who actually owns the trucks, is it the U.S or Nato, maybe that is why they don't go back to the U.S as they don't own them.

Either way a total waste, plus these guys in the video do not know how to use their machines correctly, any clown can rip things apart

What does the Scrapping trucks have to do with cannibalization of parts from Humvees for use on other vehicles?

Government is selling slant backs now.
Not sure how your logic works.
