Reproduction Scout Car Skate Rail
A gentleman I've been talking to may be interested in reproducing the skate rail for the M3a1 Scout. This is still in the planing stages. He would like to find out how many would be interested. Extimated price will be around $2500.

I'm interested in one unless freight to east coast is incredibly expensive. Any details you can provide?? Delivery timetable? Primed or painted? Price reduction for two or more? Thanks in advance.

Re: Reproduction Scout Car Skate Rail
Sorry, I have no detail information. The guy I've been talking to has made a few rail in the past. He is wanting to see if there is an interest for more to be made. He was talking about making 10 or 12 of them. If there are only a couple of us willing to buy them, then he will not be interested in reproducing them.

Re: Reproduction Scout Car Skate Rail
There was a similar post back around Jan.Feb. 2017 and several persons expressed interest. Near the end of post someone stated that Rod Shaver would be making these soon, is that who's making these? Thanks in advance.

I have spoke to Rod and he is currently making the gun rings for the trucks. He told me that he has not decided if he will be making them or not for the scouts.

Surely, there are other Scout Car owners who need a skate rail? Come on guys, this may be our only chance.........

Re: Reproduction Scout Car Skate Rail
Talked to the gentleman today about the Scout Car rails. He wants to see if anyone is willing to put up $1000 to start this project. He is not collecting any money as of now. Like Gary said, wanting and paying for it are two separate issues.

Yes, I will if I can get details answered like, timetable?, primed or painted, is it in sections, are mounts included? Lastly, what assurance of a product being delivered and has the person done similar work before, references?? These are some questions I would like answered.

Received the following reply: "The man that is looking to make them hasn't gone forward with the project. I'm not sure if this is going to get off the ground. I think we're all going to have to find one in a farmers field."
