FS Tow Cables to Aberdeen

Post by W. Winget » Fri May 01, 2015 6:50 am

I have the latest Heavy (1+ Inch) style (M88/M1 Tank, etc.) Tow Cable with the oval ends still in the paper wraper available for pickup at Aberdeen. If you want one there let me know via e-mail or PM so we can do business and I can load into trailer for delivery.

$100 each (if taken to the show for sale they are $150 which is still cheap for this piece)

PM me or e-mail

Please don't even imagine me mailing one of these beasts to you after the show...

I cannot lie, I don't know off the top of my head, but the one we hung on a Stewart went from the eng compartment front attachment to the front lower hull.
my swag is 15', but tommorrow I'll pull one out of the crate.

Wow, good SWAG, they came out as 15'-2" (but that's likely my error on the tape measure , they are likely exactly 15') these have the bolt together (large swag nut) not the crimped style of WWII type.
I had to open the crate and pull them out of the cosmoline/paper they are stored in.
They are N E W and I would not say "Old Stock" rather unissued New Stock.

MORE Tow Cables to Aberdeen

Post by W. Winget » Wed Feb 15, 2017 8:13 pm

Looking for anyone that wants me to bring a few of these heavy Cables up to Aberdeen again this year. Hope to be set up in Green A1,A2,A3 (old Green A16-18) Down on the end of the row near the display vehicles next to the stadium.
If there is any interest I'll open the crate up and pull them for you for the trailer. Price $100 ea.delivered to show, I won't take any if they are not pre-sold...too heavy and we have a other vintage radio gear (types with the bubble outer skins from 1950's, RT100's or RT77's, MANY vintage TM's on carts this year.

PS: If you want someone to pick one up for you that's fine, but I still won't mail one. I can try to remember to bring plastic wrap for the cosmoline if desired to protect everything they touch...WAW
