Hi Alexandre,

For a mid Sept. 43 MB you should be looking for a MB motor in the 265xxx thru 266xxx serial number range.

Hello Tom,

I am looking for an engine for my MB jeep, The serial number of the chassis is 264 512 (so built the 14th of September 1943).
But the engine serial number can't be beetween 265xxx & 266xxx, it is not an gpw.
I have been told that the engines range built in September 43 was from 293 200 to 306100 ; so mine built mid september should be around 299500 I guess.

Regards,

Alexandre.

Here is what I have. 638632 block, serial number MB599442 with head. It is at the machine shop just getting cleaned up and checked out. No Cracks. Will need to be bored and new valve guides and valve seats and the other things when doing rebuild. He is sending the crank out to be checked for cracks. I hate to use this block since it is a MB Block. I am rebuilding a 47 cj2a. I would be willing to sell/trade if someone has non MB block that is in good shape. I am located in Minnesota. Prefer not to ship unless the price is right.

Looking for a Willys MB engine, correct for a 2/42 Slat Grille - serial number anywhere between 116XXX and 119XXX. Anything from just the block to a complete engine with all the springs and whistles. Thanks. Lou Vita

June 0, 1942? Could it be the 10th, 20th, or 30th?
