Dang mb4ever's post got deleted.
Much of my post
was my thanks to those
who suggested ways to pick out
other's words from my own.
And explained my cogent reasons
for continuing normal
newspaper format.

Plus a reasoned discussion
of Matt's point that
]
The Koreans and the Chinese might have to dissagree with the Europeans about that then.
..
Oh well just going to ad that the death rate for German POW's in Russia was 35% (Niall Ferguson, "Prisoner Taking and Prisoner Killing in the Age of Total War: Towards a Political Economy of Military Defeat" War in History 2004 11 (2) 148–192 pg. 186 (Table 4), .
Mmmm, just about half the death rate for Russians in nazi camps.

Interesting in comparison with that,
the Third Reich was awash looted food,
whilst the USSR hadn't enough food to
feed it's own people.
The lack of food in Russia
killed nazi POWs both
directy and indirectly.
due to being chronically underfed by their Soviet captors, many resorted to cannibalism.
Wiki
It should also be remembered
that the majority of the
innacurately labelled
"German" prisoners
weren't German at all.
Just nazis.
and many weren't released until the mid 1950's
MMMM, that really puts things into perspective.

Nazi barbarity killed 2 in 3 POWs
over say 3 years.

Russian barbarity killed 1 in 3 POWs
over say 6 years.

Only a small percentage of Western Allies POWs
died in nazi POW camps of course.
Although most were suffering from malnutrition.

Nazi ethnic cleansing V Stalin's barbarity?
"Compared to the crimes, robberies and excesses committed by the army [part of the Wehrmacht], the SS and the police don't look all that bad" Reinhard Heydrich, Chief of the Reich Main Security Office (including the Gestapo).

No person posting here has ever denied the brutality of the Nazis, Soviets or Japanese.
Or disputable actions by Allied soldiers.
Box your whining irritating ranting away and be quiet.
Your posts are too political and should be deleted by Mods.
These forums are about information, photographs, and interesting military history, not stolen quotes and constant repeating of personal exclamation.

I suppose we should be happy that MB has not used rainbow fonts so far.

Actually John, that was rather labor intensive. Don't think I'll be posting in "rainbow" to much  :) .

Matt,
When I clicked on the "QUOTE" button, I gained a lot of respect for what it took to produce your Rainbow text.

Since the casual reader may not realize what is so LABOR INTENSIVE about Matt's post, here is what you would have to type to create it:
[-color=#FF0000] I[-/color] [-color=#FF0040]d[-/color][-color=#FF00FF]o[-/color] [-color=#0000FF]n[-/color][-color=#008000]'t[-/color] [-color=#00BF00]k[-/color][-color=#FFFF00]n[-/color][-color=#40BFFF]o[-/color][-color=#40FFFF]w [-/color]W[-color=#FF4000]j[-/color][-color=#4080FF]o[-/color][-color=#FF80BF]h[-/color][-color=#80FF40]n[-/color][-color=#4000FF],[-/color] [-color=#FF0080]t[-/color][-color=#408080]h[-/color][-color=#408040]i[-/color][-color=#FF8000]s[-/color] [-color=#400000]i[-/color][-color=#FF00BF]s[-/color] [-color=#4080BF]k[-/color][-color=#BFBFFF]i[-/color][-color=#40FF00]n[-/color][-color=#400080]d[-/color] [-color=#00FF40]o[-/color][-color=#40FFFF]f [-/color][-color=#BF4040]f[-/color][-color=#8040FF]u[-/color][-color=#80BF80]n[-/color] [/quote]

Even using the Font Color shortcut buttons does not make this very much easier.

It's kind of funny how this thread went from Fritz Bayerlien's post war occupation to font colors. Roy thanks for posting that.
