My slat dated 12-31-41 has its plates to the far right. Sheet metal screws were used. Jim

I just took a look at mine, 110912, 3-22-42, and it is where the glove box should be (almost). This jeep has been known since the end of WW2, I am the 2nd owner and I am sure the "repo" plates on it are in the correct spot.

I just purchased MB108044 ( late Nov. 41 ) and MB115706 ( 2/3/42 ) and the data plates are on the far right.

Right hand side for slat (12-31-41; Serial No. 108742, tub no. 11473) All indications (layers of old paint) the plates were never removed. Jim
