Anyone else here swap out engines? I have seen some great mods on this page, and on YOUTUBE I have seen engines as large as a Chevy 350 installed into a M151 some major fender mods where required to fit.
A guy up in Oklahoma I met one time had a Chevy straight 6, I am sure you could also place a few other engines into the Jeep, like A 2.0 out of a Ford Pinto or a slant six out of a old Doge dart perhaps. Maybe even a few of those older Nissan/ Toyota engines from the late 1960's early 1970's. I think with any of these engines a special adapter plate would have to be made from scratch. Not sure to be honest. I used a 4.0 engine out of a Jeep Cherokee on the M151-LC and the transmission came out of the same Jeep.
Anyone else make engine swap outs???
What were the mod requirements and pictures would be awesome to look at!
