Gas Tank Floor Replacement

Post by hondo100 » Wed Jan 10, 2024 4:07 am

I've got to replace the gas tank floor. I've heard of using the bottom half of the gas tank to do this. Has anyone replaced their gas tank floor? What did you do?
Can an old gas tank bottom half be used to patch the tool box floor?

Pictures and advice greatly appreciated.

get in touch with lpcoating on the 838 page. he manufactures quite a few of the sheet metal parts for the 151 series.

Hello Ralph. I've read where people cut the gas tank bottom down the center (from front to back) and increase the width 1". Then piece it in from there.

Thanks Guy. This would be a whole lot easier if you made the floors.... :D
