7 Aug, Tues: Manassas Park National Night Out. Sponsored by the local police departments. Vehicle displays welcome. I can send you a flyer if you ask for it..

7-9 August, Exhibits open Tues and Wed: USMC C4 Conference inside the Fredericksburg Expo and Conference Center. Looking for MVs with communication equipment. MV should be there for the entire conference. You can bring it in Monday afternoon or very early on Tuesday. 24 hour security. Lunch provided, you may bring one guest, you may attend any of the sessions or hang out at your MV to talk to the Marines. MVs should have less than ¼ tank of fuel, if it leaks oil you must bring something to catch it. If you have some other antique commo equipment not on vehicles, it may be displayed on provided tables.

10-12 August, Fri-Sun: Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival in Butler, Pa., birthplace of the Jeep. Pre-registration is now available on their web site, BantamJeepFestival.com.

12 August, Sun: The Prince William County Fair (VA) will have a Military Appreciation Day on Sunday 12 Aug. Service members/veterans get in for free. There will be several displays from military museums and organizations. They have requested antique military vehicles to display. The vehicle owner plus one guest get in free. The displays will be on the dirt raceway in front of the grandstand (no race that day). If you want to bring your vehicle you must arrive by 1100 so you can enter and be set up before the gates open for the crowds. You can leave at 1700 or stay until closing around 2000 (8pm). There is room for additional displays next to your vehicle. The fair website is http://www.pwcfair.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Food etc. available for sale at the fair. If you want to bring your vehicle you need to let me know by Wed 1 Aug with name and vehicle type. All vehicles are welcome regardless of size. I will send out the details to those people who are bringing a vehicle.

14-17 Aug,Tues-Fri: Fort Lee, VA. 12th annual gathering of Vietnam guntrucks.

18-19 August, Sat-Sun: The Americans in Wartime Museum open house, http://www.nmaw.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, at the Nokesville facility. The open house is Sat & Sun 18-19 Aug. All privately owned military vehicles are welcome. Come out for one day or both. You have two options for displaying your vehicle. You can park it among the museum vehicles which are set up for display based on your MVs era. WW2 with WW2, Vietnam with Vietnam etc. There are usually uniformed reenactors set up with these vehicles. It would be best if you have an appropriate uniform to go with your vehicle.

Your second option is to park in the area where we normally set up. We will have more room there than we did last year because there will not be as many tents. Uniforms in this area are optional.

7-8 Sep, Fri-Sat: Air Show & USO Show/Dance at Front Royal Warren county Airport Sept. 7 & 8, 2012. Military vehicles will participate in : the USO Show / Dance, gate opens at 6:30, Show / Dance at 7:00-10:00 in R / M hanger on 7 Sept. ; a military vehicle display starting at 8:00 , 8 Sept. ; a veterans parade at 11:30 - 12:00 and an air assault on a convoy blank fire demonstration at 2:00. The latter will include casualty evacuation by Ambulance. Four to Five thousand visitors are expected. Anyone

8 Sep, Sat: Quantico Marine Corps Base carshow. Time 1000 to 1400. Parking lot in front of Little Hall. Military vehicles welcomed. I can email flyer if you want one.

8-9 Sep, Sat-Sun: Rippon Lodge Historic Site in Woodbridge, Virginia, WW2 weekend. Takes the place of the one held at Brentsville. I have the registration form and flyer with information. Individual registration. Let me know, I will email to you.

8-9 Sep, Sat-Sun: Walk thru Time living history weekend at Fredericksburg, VA. Reenactors and vehicles welcome from all eras. 15-16 Sep, Sat-Sun: The National Park Service will sponsor a World War II living history weekend at the Eisenhower National Historic Site, Gettysburg, PA. An authentic recreation of both Allied and German army camps, complete with original World War II vehicles, will be set up on the site. Over 100 living history enthusiasts will portray military personnel from the European Theater in 1944. Dozens of World War II vehicles will be on display.
