Hi Guys,
Not much chatter on this part of the forum...everyone must be out enjoying their cars in the good summer weather.
My 41 Plymouth is coming along...slower than I'd like but OK. As soon as I get the clutch working, I'm through with the mechanical part and ready for the easy parts...body and interior.
As my car is being dedicated to a guy who was a Bird Col. when he retired, I will use a plate with the eagle rank. I can always paint one but was wondering if anyone has seen, or knows a source, of something nicer. Any advice would be sincerely appreciated.
Stay cool!
Gary

Re: Col Rank Plate
You're right about making my own....probably what I'll do. I have a couple of plain, flat plates with other designs on them that will do for repainting.
Had a setback....head gasket blew out! Fortunately they are easily available and not too difficult to change. It was probably my fault. I forgot to re-torque the headbolts after the engine was warm the first time. Ah, to be smart the first time.
