1941 Plymouth P11/12 for sale

Post by Ernie Baals » Tue Sep 11, 2007 5:38 pm

Hi
I still have the 1941 Plymouth P11/12 four door sedan for sale.
since i listed it, the car has had a tune up, oil change and carb rebuilt.
Runs and stops fine, Body very solid. only rust is the spare tire well and a few spots under the back seat that have been patched with fiberglass ans some point in its life.
The brakes have been rebuilt with new wheels cylinders, lines, hoses shoes, master cyl and with silicone fluid.
all the gauges work and all the windows go up and down, all the glass is good.
The radio lights up, but does not play. The heater works.
the car needs the exhaust system replaced and the interior is there, but is not in the best of shape.

the car comes with enough tires to make a good set and a set of nos front parking lights for the staff car.

I am asking $3250. or $3500. and i will put on a new exhaust system.

Pictures available for those interested.

thanks Ernie

Hi Ernie,
I am new to the forum and have been thinking of rebuilding a staff car. I wonder if you could send me a couple of pictures and where you are located?
Thanks,
Gary

Why not post the pics and we'll all have a look-see. Always looking for new bells and whistles for my '49 Packard. Any little bit is appreciated
Thanks!

I have not done my '50 or '49 Packard yet either. I have done other collector vehicles and when I could not find the NOS or repro parts, I went to the local speed shop and had the guys there make me up an exhaust...running from manifold to tailpipe. They work on race-type cars and they love to tinker with an oldie, but goodie.

There are tons of repro & NOS parts out there. If you can't find what you need, any muffler shop with a pipe bender will probably work.

repro exhaust

I just ordered a new exhaust system from these guys for my 1939 Buick. They have been in the old car hobby forever.

T.F.,
Thanks for the compliment.

I just got this car from NY on Labor Day. Very nice original car with at least a 35 year old repaint on it, but all the rest is original. I wanted a car that had been thru the war and hadn't had a pre war car in about 20 years.

Always liked '37-41 Buicks, but never had one, so here we are! Now I have something to put some war related homefront items with.

sign, sign, everywhere a sign.......

Mario,
Thanks. A lot of chrome for the OD side of me, but I have to keep the old car side of me happy too.

Tractor,
Actually that's taken in my yard (I live in the country). That sign came from a ranch in the Paso Robles area. If you notice the color of the sign is black and white porcelin. They haven't used that combo in CA in many decades.

I was wondering where that was shot because I haven't seen a sign like that.
