Hello Mark 1,

i think, that it is a original red oxide primer on the front grill, and it was never varnished, because there ist no colore under this red and no color over this red. It is a Ford stamped grill, so i say that i dont know however ist wos never paintet for more than 70 years, but i cant take the responsibility to do it now.
That's why he's red!!! :P

It sure is. Is the GPA pto for the prop shaft. Should ask the farmer if he has more parts laying around
