Was my jeep's bday this weekend.

Not much going on these days, busy with work/changing jobs.

Should be ready for wiring now, unsure if I needed to install something before the firewall padding but at least I test fitted it :D

Man that firewall padding was one hell of a pain in the rear to install. And haven't figured out the trick to installing the felt grommet, I'm tearing them more than anything.

Started wiring, I forgot my manuals so I had to go with Google photos and mightve made a couple errors. Installed the rotary switch temporarily for morale and to make sure I had enough slack :D

Wow! Boyso - your jeep body came out great and I admire your commitment and dedication demonstrated throughout your restoration efforts. You must have a great sense of pride and feeling of accomplishment as you have made tremendous strides from looking at before vs after photos.

Best regards,
Todd

Still little slow progress, but been busy with the job search and have now been hired by a new games company in Los Angeles. I'll be staying in Canada for a little while but I gotta hurry up now

I need to cut off the fender gasket/liner and tin the bottom hole
Also I didnt use the right wire in the wiring clip, I'll have to correct that

Tub will be ready to be set back down onto the frame during the xmas holidays

The jeep is still here for now ! :)

I didn't get to go to the shop during xmas, gf and I had covid and needed to quarantine at home.

Since the last update, I visited the WWII museum in NOLA and also our California office. Hadn't manage to go back to the shop until last weekend

Nice progress. Did you return to Canada for while to work on your jeep?

Hello,

It is great to see you back to work on your jeep !
Those are great pictures as well :D :D
It is always good to see the person behind the good works :D :D

The jeep is looking great, and coming together, I hope you have more time to work on it , and I am glad you made it through that nasty virus !!

Today is June 6th, and we all remember the D-Day landings in Normandy , and it is a great time to update your Jeep project !!

Keep us posted, and good luck :D :D :D

Best Regards,
Ray

You and your GPW have come a long way in the last few years - nice to see the face behind the Jeep.

All the best Barrie

Thanks !

I still live in Canada for now, I'm just working from home remotely :)

But a new relationship have kept me out of the garage for a while

Hopefully buying a house with a garage next to it is in the plan in the next few years! I'm trying to button up everything onto the jeep as to not take too much room in my parents' garage and then I'll do the "polish" of installing correct fasteners and everything down the road

 Do not worry, it took me 10 years to complete my restoration….
I have been kicked by my daughter.
She said that my granson would never have a ride in my jeep before my death :o
One year later the jeep was finished
