Wow... Has it really been five years?

Hello G-members,

I'm back. Well I never went away, but back on my jeep project that is.

IN 2010 I bought a house that needed a complete renovation. Everything, except the walls have been replaced. It took me 2 years, working in weekends and days off. So why did I buy this house? Because of the garage... The garage was cramped and damp and old, so last year I finally build an new garage which is a bit bigger, higher, warmer and nicer to look at.

Now I finally have time to start working on my Jeep again. The last thing that happened in 2010 was that I had both axles restored. I didn't do the work myself cause It needed welding on a cast iron case. Last weeks I put the frame the right way and bought a couple of parts during a big event (KTR Beurs). Now I'm in progress (slow) of sandblasting some bolts and pieces. Just to get the feeling of doing something again. Got 3 of the 4 axle stops bolted on the frame. For the last one I have to get some lockwashers, unfortunately I didn't get much done this weekend because I have the floo... But still very happy to get started again.

And I have a dog(gie). His name? His name is Jeep, so still commited to get to the finish line. It will be a long term restoration thought, mainly because of financial reasons... So easy does it.

OK lets bring out some pics.

Hello Gideon,
Great to see your back in business. Time fly's when you have fun( 5 years). The summer is over, so you have lots of time for next spring to finish your jeep. I finish my jeep restoration and get my license plate in may 2012. The next project is a Dodge WC 54.
Success

Hoi Rob,

Very slowly, finding time and money is sometimes hard to do... But still willing to finish it some day and drive it !.

I'm hoping te get the frame on it wheels next month. Then stille a lot of work to go on drivetrain and body.

Groeten uit Dordrecht, Gideon
