Hello All ,
Are the first 8000 vep with midland chassis follow up the willys slat grill rear brake line routing
with the L bracket on the chassis ?
I have red some thread dating from 2013 but it is unclear about VEP

Hello Jean,

Last week I've seen an unrestored VEP with a Midland frame but without the Slat Grill L support for the rear brake. Brake lines were not original, so I'm not sure if the L support has been there in the past. It doesn't look like it.

my 3595 vep has the standard t on the differential. even my slat 112k has the standard wroughting which is earlier than my vep

The L bracket and T on the axle tube on the slats, ended before the GPWs started production

I have 2 super low serial number and they both did not use the bracket
GPW 314 DOD 3-14-42
GPW 227 DOD 2/42 2062315 (actual) & US NAVY 195086 hood numbers
MB124997 DOD 3/4/42 2079954 (actual) Slat grill

M38 DOD 3/52 Hood# 20908270 actual
