headlight wingnuts

Post by Bart1015 » Sat Jun 26, 2021 6:58 am

Hello all,

I was going through my spare parts and found an extra set of headlight threaded arms and wingnuts, The threaded arms are pinched at the ends and the wing nuts have the washer tack welded on.

On my VEP, the threaded arms are not pinched and the washer is not tack welded to the wing nuts.

Now I need to figure out what set of headlight threaded arms and wingnuts should be on my VEP GPW?

Any help would be appreciated,

My impression has been that the pinched end of the retaining arm is a later feature. The Rockhampton GPW assembly images from around mid 1943 show the "early" style

Hope this helps.

Thanks Bill, Looks like the ones mounted are correct.
