I thought that I would post this belt here for starters.
I do not know what this belt is for and some people think that it is for the GPW, and I do not know if this is true. But for what it is worth I am curious if this is really for a GPW or something else and thanks for taking the time for looking and helping me with this...

I don’t know why it would be purely for a GPW, it could be for any L134 or none. It has a cure date of 1959 and firestone is the manufacturer and as far as I’m aware the belts were the same spec for both Willys and Ford.

Well that’s just it, I was told it was maybe for a GPW, but then again some people know what they’re doing and some people don’t know what they’re doing when it comes to these kind of identifications when it comes to parts. But I thought I would start here to see where the journey will take me.

The ORIGINAL and even the repop fan belts have printed on or embossed on them, the name of the mfger and the WO or GPW part numbers, None of these used a "toothed" design. Maybe something like a GPA or a truck engine, but we've never seen. Or just something Bubba used on his jeep because it was close to the correct diameter.

Thanks Chuck for sharing that with me. That helps out a lot. So my mystery belts will have to be an onward battle to figuring out to what they will fit on a different post on here on the G. So at least I can take out that they are not GPW...

Maybe not to the point of this post, but I don't see how the 'toothed' belt works.
Because the theory of the 'V' belt is that, as it goes around the curve of the pulley, the sides bulge, gripping the pulley firmly. With the teeth cut out, there is no 'bulge' as the belt rounds the pulley. So, theoretically, it should have less grip, and so would have to be tightened more. But most 'V' belts today have those teeth. Does anybody know for sure?

Top of the package is a federal stock number. That number tells you what it fits.

Well the Federal Stock number is a great start, but where do you look all the Federal Stock numbers up on? I mean I have manuals for my trucks and APC and I do not see it anywhere from what I own in my collection of things, but thanks for reminding me of that, for I will try to research that part again using that number...

Checked on line and the 1332 number is no longer listed and the nearest is 1333 which it says is just ‘V belt’.

"1332" alone is not related to any interchange. The FSN can easily be converted if one is fluent with the GI belt numbering system.
The belt in the photo appears to be unserviseable.

Can you explain the interchangeability? I could convert the FSN to NSN easy enough and that’s how I could see the 1333 number with a date of 1961 but the FSN for the 1332 number was never converted to NSN by the looks of it.

That FSN does not fall into the list of Tank-Automotive Material of that particular time period,
Could be Engineers or Signal. Kind of old for any reliable use, anyways.

Re: I thought that I would post this belt here for starters.
It would best be used in a "Spare Parts Kit" for the vehicle it came on if in fact that vehicle HAD a kit and one was required.
Certainly NOT suggested it ever be mounted.

I know it’s been a long time on this post but I’ve got your belt issue figured out for you. You were told right it is for a GPW that has a 12v conversion package on it for radio set up. That’s exactly what’s on mine I can send you a picture if you like and possibly send you pictures of the tm. For the conversion that will show that belt as part of that kit, Thanks Zuke(Tim) tshook62@gmail.com

Zuke (Tim),
Do you think they are for the GPW??? Just curious because I do have quite a few of them down below, and I might of guessed that they were for the GPW but then again I could be completely wrong, and the belts are in great working order with no cracks in them or anything letting you know... And thanks for taking the time to relook at this post, I totally forgot that I had these out there for people that might need them in the end... Many blessings to you...
