Still has a bit to go. After the first test drive she got stuck in 3rd and had to tow her home. She was also popping out of second. Looks like I should have sprung for a new synchro and second when I rebuilt the tranny. Oh well. Live and learn. Reverse and First were solid as rocks. Oil pressure was great, She charged fantasticly, starts at the drop of a hat.

Went with Beachwood canvas and it should be in a week or two.

Markings will be Normandy - 327th Airborne Ambulance Co. - 101st Airborne. Mainly cause I'm stationed at Ft. Campbell and I'm a medical officer. :) and I plan to drive her to work.

Looks great! I like the before and after shot. Is it a GPW on a Willys frame? Driving it to work where you are posted is Ultimate cool!
cheers
Bill.

Yep, it's a markland frame. I got quite a shock when I figured that out. Seeing as I paid a farmer 500 bucks for it.

Very nice restoration, were you able to recover any original unit markings or hood numbers?
