Hello I have a question about british Airborne bodies.I understand that the modified jeeps Ford / Willys = 10,000 total were under 2275 contract. In this case the angle of the hat channels is different and cut before the step.
These ACM1 43 bodies were manufactured by Ford and Willys or in a different assembly line in some Military depots from the US?

Re: GPW frame number identification
Hello friends, thank you for accepting me again, it is possible and throughout so many years that in my case I learned about jeeps, reading especially on this site all the characteristics about them.
Thanks Ron,
It gives me the impression and re-reading this link that I am short and there is more to continue with new photos and more detailed characteristics of this jeep, if so, you are interested.
Cheers.

The assembly date on that axle housing looks like 1-22-43. It appears you have a Spicer manufactured axle housing? To the very best of my knowledge, Ford did not stamp assembly dates on their in-house produced axle housing assemblies.
Is this on the same jeep that started this thread or is this another jeep?
