Hello Scofin,

Welcome to the G !!
If you can post a picture of your data plate, at least we can tell you what factory it came from, if the plate is original.

You may have to make a few more posts before you can post pictures, I think 5 maybe, but not sure.

If you have a 4x4 stamped on it, it was made in Dallas, Texas
If it has 1/4 T stamped on it, it was made in Louisville, Kentucky
If it has the serial number is stamped in 2 places, it was made in Chester, Pennsylvania
The other factories have their own look, that we can tell by looking at your plate.
The Dearborn factory uses a smaller stamp size to stamp the serial number.
I think the Richmond, California factory only uses the month and year on the data plate, no day.

Best Regards,
Ray

Hello 70th Division, I don't have the plate of my Gpw.
With the chassis number it is possible to know where it was built.
Thank you

Hello,

I do not have that ability to identify the factory based on the stamping on the frame.

However, the good news is that there is a person who has that knowledge.
Tom W on Facebook, he is the worlds top GPW expert.
https://www.facebook.com/gpw.guy.7/
If you have FB, or know someone that does, you can contact him about your serial number.
He will need a picture of the frame serial number, nice and clear, and likely will be able to give you some information.

Your jeep is a 1942 model :D .

Best Regards,
Ray
