Chuck Lutz Passing

Post by John Neuenburg » Fri Jan 06, 2023 2:35 pm

If you haven't heard, I am sad to report the passing of Chuck Lutz last week from cancer. He beat the odds but it finally got him. Chuck was a WW2 jeep and especially 1/4 ton trailer expert who helped many people on the G especially on the WW2 jeep technical forum. He was a member of the "Odd Squad" of jeepers, many of whom met on the jeep forum over 20 years ago. They started camping and socializing together at our first Tower Park event, near the NE corner of campground 4. Some still get together at Plymouth. There is a long thread of remembrance here, including pictures some of us took of Chuck:

My good friend and neighbor. Always there to help. His passing leaves a big void but his words of advice will live on as long as Ron keeps this website going.

The late Mac McCluskey with Chuck at the trailer and towed gun showcase, Tower Park 2008. Mac was a machinist and he built a replica 37mm AT gun from scratch. The guys were there to answer questions. Always giving.

RIP Chuck!
