Lance @ Ahlborn Steel Company is going to host a party for a WW2 101st Vet Don Clouston that has been in a convalescent hospital for too long. They are going to use Sonoma-Schellville airport's hangar Nov 21st 12-2pm. Lance is looking for some WW2 memorabilia set up table side and 4-10 jeeps for display. My M38 will be on display as well. We are limited on occupancy and it will go fast. Anyone willing to display or help set up some WW2 memorabilia please list your email for a Evite or PM me your email. Would like to have the evite go out before Veterans Day.

I will bring a 1944 Ford M20 Armored Utility Car unless you only want jeeps. I can also bring a 1942 British Special Air Service desert jeep with four machine guns and 15 jerry cans but that's not related to his time in service. He might have run into some SAS people in Belgium or Germany but their jeeps looked different. Sending PM.

I got your info from Reuel Miller. I am the 1st Vice up at Amer Legion #111 and Ahlborn is hosting a party for a WW2 101st C/502 D-Day paratrooper that has been displaced in a convalescent hospital for over half a decade, to add no family visits and his wife passed away as his roommate a few years ago. Hell of a nice old dude and Ahlborn is planning a big event to celebrate his B-Day.

Sonoma Valley Airport gave us a hangar with a P-51 parked adjacent to host the party on the 21st of this month 12pm-2. We will be doing the presentation of the Colors with our Color Guard, Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance & Star Spangled Banner, the Bio of SFC Clouston with emphasis on his D-Day and Battle experiences with the 101st as well the Korean War. We are also going to have an escort with our Legion Riders, Patriot Guard and a host of Jeepers and era vehicles of WW2. We are also going to cater a luncheon to honor Don.

Reuel thought you might be interested in joining in with the Escort adding some more WW2 era vehicles to the convoy. We have about a dozen PGR, ALR riders and I am working on an engine with a local Fire House also. Probably about 100-150 in attendance.

Let me know and I can add you the official invite list if you, or any of your friends that could help out, would be interested, thanks.

Thanks,

Lance Ballenger
