"P" inside GP type engine

Post by Adam » Wed Dec 28, 2022 8:46 am

Anybody know what a "P" inside the engine represents, serial pad is rusted, not a gp embossment, inside,, just the P. I have seen a few of these, all in the hands of GP owners.

Need to know before i sell it off, or do i part it out for the front motor mount and some gp specific parts.

Whata a front motor mount going for?

Adam,
I'll stick out my opinion based on observations over the years. Have seen the "P" on many engines, both truck and GPs. And this is not verified from FORD data but I think a replacement block used for all 4 cyl applications.
Would like to hear from others, their observations and thoughts.
Brad
