ImageI bought this image decades ago and in preparing to ebay it, I looked more closely and found that lots about this jeep he is in is unfamiliar to me. Can anyone tell me what model jeep this is?

I believe your photo is the Ford Pygmy replica built and used in several movies in the 1940s (Private Buckaroo, Flying Tigers, The human Comedy, Jeep Herders, Johnny Doughboy). Your photo of John Wayne is possibly from the movie Flying Tigers.

Thanks George, the image is from The Flying Tigers. I knew this would be the place to get the answer, but I never thought it would be this fast and this comprehensive.
Thanks again,
Bruce

Hollywood made a few fake jeeps in the early days for movies like "jeep herders". I bet this is one of those. Sean.
