Are "B C" embossed bolts for a Bantam?

Thanks

Re: BC Bolts on BRC's

Post by MATT » Sat Sep 04, 2021 10:24 pm

I have owned well over 125 WW2 jeeps and trailers over 30 years and almost all of the BC bolts I have found came from WW2 trailers. I own and am in the process of restoring a 1941 Bantam BRC and most of the bolts on that are TR, TR over A or TR over 20 marked. I also see A and AA marked bolts on the BRC.

When the restoration of my BRC started a few years ago it was one of the last "known" unrestored/untouched BRC's left and I did not see one BC marked bolt and I was paying attention.

This is not gospel but my observation.

Thanks Matt.... got some TR's and A's as well. You're info may not be gospel, but it's well sourced.

Tim,

I’m restoring a Dec ‘42 MB for SWMBO.

All 20 of the oil pan bolts I’ve just removed are “B C” marked.

All the bolts on my 1944 Bantam are “A” or “E C” marked as are most of the bolts on my ‘44 MB.
