All 3 engines water pumps are the same size, all interchange, although all are made with differently constructed parts. Wonder if the 9n tractor pump and fan will be correct for a gp engine, I do see 2 types of fans for the 9n.

GP dist. assembly, although the actual distributor is not correct, will fit the pe engine, but not the 8n as that has a cast in dist housing.

All 3 engines with the front cover off, gp, pe and the 8n, you can see the extra hole in the left side of the pe and 8 n engine covers for the governor mounting. the 8n has a different drive on the cam center for distributor drive. The there is damage to the original drive on the angled end of dist assembly. I think i did see these parts available on this site. When you pull the front covers off, take out the plunger and spring so they dont get lost, they are under the big plug on the front cover.

For sure, the easiest way to put a non gp engine in there is to get the gp front cover and side cover. Top picture top mount is the gp. Correct mount sitting on the 8n and pe engine. Will have to see if that 8n dist drive can be changed,

If only had the correct air filter mounting plate, have the support for it but cant see where it connects to on the block.

serial number of engine in 10K range,

on the GP serial number list, how come there not many 10K and 11K vehicles there?

The cams look to come with the slotted grove machined into the cam, i do not see a cam available without it, also can not find pics of the 8nc cam out of the engine. Parts lists list 9n, 8n and 2N cams the same till the side mount distributor, but this engine is not listed, wonder if a 9n cam will fit in this beast.

For sure you cant use the stock distributor with the air filter mounted in the correct spot or use this dist with the correct air filter.

Heres a GP mark on a cam in what might be a GP engine. Also inside the block there is a P. Missing the G.
